Whose got four titles in the Top 10 for last month? It's not the Gamecube I'll tell you that.

The latest sales figures are in for August and low and behold Madden on the PS2 took the lead by a mile, big surprise. A bit more surprising is that Madden on the XBOX is right behind it. XBOX actually had four titles in the top ten this month; with Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Island Thunder coming in at number eight and Star Wars: KOTOR hanging in there for a second month at nine. Only Gamecube title to make the top ten was Soul Calibur 2, one could almost say that gamers like the old Link better than the new one Hmmmm. The top twenty was a little more forgiving for Nintendo with Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour selling surprisingly well at 11. Lastly it was a poor start for Sega & Nintendo's F-Zero GX which only came in at 15; let's all hope it was just because of the games late arrival in the month.

1. Madden NFL 2004 (PS2)
2. Madden NFL 2004 (Xbox)
3. Soul Calibur II (GC)
4. Soul Calibur II (Xbox)
5. Silent Hill 3 (PS2)
6. NCAA Football 2004 (PS2)
7. Soul Calibur II (PS2)
8. Ghost Recon Island Thunder (Xbox)
9. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (Xbox)
10. Grand Theft Auto 3 (PS2)
11. Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour (GC)
12. Madden NFL 2004 (GC)
13. Pokemon Ruby (GBA)
14. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (PS2)
15. F-Zero GX (GC)
16. Pokemon Sapphire (GBA)
17. Donkey Kong Country (GBA)
18. Splashdown: Rides Wild (PS2)
19. DragonBall Z: Legend of Goku II (GBA)
20. Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution (PS2)

Racing fans had better fasten their seatbelts ? it?s going to be a bumpy (but fun) ride at X03. RalliSport Challenge 2, the highly anticipated second instalment in the critically acclaimed RalliSport Challenge franchise, hits the road on its way to Xbox? gamers around the world in 2004. Two years after the smash hit RalliSport Challenge wowed racing fans with photorealistic graphics and intense gameplay, RalliSport Challenge 2 has emerged and with more than just a new paint job. RalliSport Challenge 2 delivers several new features to gamers including a new graphics engine, online play through the Xbox? Live? service, the ability to set up leagues and tournaments using XSNsports.com, new race modes, and more cars and tracks. ?Racing fans, especially those who thrive on the excitement of rally racing, have a real challenge in store with RalliSport Challenge 2,? said Michel Cassius, senior director, Xbox platform and marketing. ?Now gamers can REALLY go off-road and onto Xbox Live, where thanks to XSN Sports gamers can set up their own rally leagues, check their progress on XSNSports.com, and even play in large-scale tournaments. We?re pleased to debut RalliSport Challenge 2 at X03, where it is in very good company with our best and broadest games portfolio yet.? RalliSport Challenge 2 is being developed by Digital Illusions CE. Digital Illusions is focused on creating high-quality, playable games that will make the most of the advanced technology for which they are designed. Digital Illusions has a strong background in racing games. It was the developer of such hits as Midtown Madness? 3, RallyMasters (PC/PSX) and RalliSport Challenge (Xbox). It also is the developer of Shrek (Xbox, GameCube). Digital Illusions can be found on the World Wide Web at http://www.dice.se/. RalliSport Challenge 2 combines all of the action of the various rally sports into one game. RalliSport Challenge 2 embodies the energy, passion, and thrill of rally racing - allowing gamers to experience the white-knuckled racing that only rally racing can deliver: Intense Competition. ?RalliSport Challenge 2? is the first racing title in the new XSN Sports brand. XSN Sports games let gamers compete in the first truly virtual sports league for your Xbox. Now gamers can easily set up a rally league on XSNsports.com, take out rivals over Xbox Live, and track up-to-date stats on a PC throughout their own rally season. All XSN Sports games bring the power of the Xbox and PC together for the first time through XSNsports.com, so gamers are always plugged into the competition. Off-road racing the way it should be. RalliSport will feature five unique rally sports, including the new Crossover duel that tests a driver?s skill and stomach for danger with extreme speeds on tracks that could send even the best driver on a collision course with disaster. From broken windows to missing hoods, RalliSport Challenge 2 features an updated graphics engine with realistic vehicle physics complete with damage modelling and performance degradation to test a driver?s mettle. Start your engines. RalliSport will feature more than 40 of the most challenging rally cars including the infamous group B cars that were banned because of uncontrollable horsepower. Gamers will be able to make minor modifications to each car to meet the challenge of each track. Track the weather. Featuring nearly double the tracks of the original, race on different tracks from Australia, the frozen Nordic and the Pacific Northwest and variable weather conditions including rain, snow and fog. RalliSport Challenge 2 will test every driving skill gamers think they have and some they don?t even know were physically possible. RalliSport also features new camera angles that focus on spectacular crashes, and interactive environments including breakaway signs, moving rocks, and new splash and rain effects

Dude, Exzir, I used to think NFL Fever was awesome too, being I bought it for '02 and '03. This year I got ESPN and I see what I was missing. It's a cold, hard, fact that Fever is the worst football game this year, and some reviewers go so far as to say it's the worst of the three fevers to be released. The ONLY reason to even consider buying fever this year is because of the XSN Sports network. It's plastered all over the XSN boards that it's in pre-season mode and it's basically functioning as a beta test. There's more problems right now than it's worth. You can play ESPN on Live also, plus it's just a superior football game overall. Madden's better than Fever also but there's no Live support. Someone should only get Fever in addition to one of the other two football games available.
