Ubisoft, one of the world's leading video game publishers, today announced that its exclusive title this year for the XboxTM, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six? 3, won the Game of the Show award at the X03 event held this week in southern France.
The prize was voted by a panel of Europe's most influent journalists from the specialized press and the game was recognized as the most representative and most impressive title on XboxTM, this year. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six? 3 was also played by 10 finalists from around the world at the first Xbox? LiveTM tournament ever, called "Clash of the Continents".
"I am really proud of this game. Its development team has succeeded in creating a war-like atmosphere with totally realistic gun fights," says Serge Hasco?t, Executive Director, Worldwide Content Strategy for Ubisoft. "The success of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six? 3 is another amazing achievement for Ubisoft, and this is just a beginning! Many more exciting titles will be released before the end of the year."
Among Ubisoft's other titles that were praised on the French coast were XIII (unveiling its Xbox? LiveTM content), Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Island ThunderTM (the already successful sequel to Ghost ReconTM and Xbox? LiveTM best selling franchise) and Splinter Cell Pandora TomorrowTM, which was accompanied by the worldwide exclusivity of its new trailer, available on www.splintercell.com
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six? 3, the next installment of the best-selling Rainbow Six series of games, will release in time for the exciting Christmas 2003 market exclusively on XboxTM.
