News: Xbox 2 Graphics Processor Named...

It's an R500 Spin off, if that means anything to you.
According to a frenzy of online reports today, the GPU to be found in Xbox 2 will be a off shoot of ATI's upcoming R500 graphics card.
Although the card has yet to be revealed, full specifications are scheduled to be shown at Comdex this year. An announcement at X03 is also likely.

LoL I will simplify the code name for you guys. ATI's R300 (Which is considerd by many if not all the biggest graphix leap since 3DFX first set the real standard for 30 FPS with its first GPUs) is the 9700 Pro. The R350.. Is the 9800 Pro (The best GPU on the market right now.. The R360 is going to be the Radeon 9800Pro-TX which will be the new ATI card out later this month.. So as of now the bigest badest card slated for release is ATIs TX Card the R360 and we are getting a R500?!?! I LovE the sound of that..
