I gotta say XBOXActive, your Hedgehog buddy is really PO?ed! I?m normally a very tolerable person but man the guys over at Electronic Gaming Monthly really do get my blood pressure up! I don?t comment about their awful reviews, everyone has the right to an opinion, but their top 30 holiday list in the October issue of EGM has me wondering just how out of tune those mooks are! I mean its bad enough that Project Gotham Racing 2 only made number 29 on the list but to have Super Mario Advance 3 in front of it? Man that?s just a blatant insult! ?sigh? I?m just gonna get to this weeks report before I get the urge to spin dash someone!
Fight For Your Right To.
Over the past few weeks we?ve all been staring at that same horrific image from Big Blue Box?s, Fable. You know, the one with the hero putting a sword through a kids head! Well there?s apparently just as much heat inside the forge as there is on the outside!
Seems a fierce debate is raging between the team working on Fable and Molyneux about just how cruel you can be in the game. Molyneux apparently feels that such graphical violence might force the ERSB to give the game an A for ?Adult Violence?. That would seriously hamper the games distribution and where it could be sold!
The Hedgehog?s Take- I don?t see the issue. Anyone who wants to knife an eight year old, even a virtual one, has all the problems!
Behind the Seens?
Now this is odd! Last time I checked cancelled games usually don?t receive new release dates and boxarts from online retailers! So why is Gamestop showing a new entry for Microsoft?s, The Unseen, maybe because it was never actually cancelled! Tremors, the games developer, simply went belly up; and Microsoft retained all the rights to the title. It was only a matter of finding a new developer to put the game back on track.
The Hedgehog?s Take - The only question is, have they; and judos to Xsuicidesn for tipping me off to this!

Will these Square-Enix on XBOX rumors ever go away; their like a bad rash stuck under my quills man! Once again word is out on an XBOX version of, Final Fantasy XI! It appears that Square-Enix is desperate to pad over the games expenses and they fear that the American PC and PS2 versions won?t cut it. Well, considering that XBOX has all the hardware built in, and there?s virtually no competition, yet, why the F*CK not Square?
The Hedgehog?s Take- Next time, try putting the game on a system that doesn?t require gamers to take out a second mortgage on their homes to afford it geniuses!

I get the distinct impression that you guys are desperate for some Rare news. That or maybe it was the guy texting me saying he?d eat dog food if I didn?t spill the beans! Now as much as I?d love to see a gamer wolf down some Beggin Strips I think this should tame those hunger pains!
Kameo:Elements of Power: The game has elements of Fishing, Platforming, and animal raising. The big news of course is XBOX Live functionality; maybe even giving gamers the chance to trade or download new monsters over Live.
Conker: Live & Uncut: The version shown at E3 had only been recently ported over to the XBOX from the N64! Since then the graphical overhall on the game has been extreme, lighting, furshading, the works! Also the title will have several new sections of the game that never made it into the original due to Nintendo?s sensitive stomach when it comes to perverse actions!
Perfect Dark Zero: rumored to be a prequel to the original. This hot potato supposedly has Joanna traveling back in time to save herself! Rumors of a second new playable character also abound!
The Fifth title: Battletoads, Killer Instinct, Venom X4, Sabre Wolf Racing an MMORPG the speculation is ramped on this one. Unfortunately I have no new information on this mysterious gem!
I?m not going to continue ranting about EGM, all those cool rumors cooled me down. In closing I?d just like to assure fans that the Hedgehog?s next installment of Faceoff is finished and should be up sometime this weekend. I?ve had some problems with posting the article due to its size, but I'll work it out rest assured!

Good work Sonny. Looks like the ole'spellchecker is working again. Good read, wish you knew what that 5th Rare title was...No way will we be seeing a Square title on the Xbox anytime soon, at least not in the states. Thanks for the bit of news on Fable, wish you had more info regarding where MS sits on the issue.
Super Mario Advance 3?? I picked up a GBA the other day, 4 minutes later I put it down. I realized I'd played all these games in 1986! Why does anyone get excited about GB titles??

again, the unseen was just listed w/in the last week(I check every 2 days)so i'd say thats a pretty good sign the game is coming out on this generation of hardware, and with xbox 2 being more than 2 years away, no game is worth delaying two full years just to be a release title, maybe re-release, but not the initial release... and final fantasy is not coming to the xbox yet, its called Dragon Quest, its from Square, and its not your normal game, its a peripheral game that plugs into the xbox, and you swing a controller shaped like a sword around and the game mimics your actions on the tv, namco did something similar, and this product will probably never seen the western shores

Don't get your hopes up guy's! My Inside sources tells me there will be no FF game of any kind coming to our Xbox.
And I can't belive HedgeHog didn't metion GTA, There is a GTA title coming to Xbox and the beans are so close to spilling I can't belive Hedge hasn't smelled them yet.
And about The Unseen, don't hold your breath my source told me MS is holding it back for a Xbox 2 launch title with all new Xbox 2 graphic's to boot!

they reported a rift was growing between the 2 because square
is taking up all limelight,so its possible that right now enix is looking at xbox as its jumpoff,japan wants to buy xbox,just imagine if enix were to bring its beloved franchise
to new kid on the block,this is the reason they are looking for.MICROSOFT get these ppl onboard,u have ample money lying

Ummm, you are just realizing that egm is anti-xbox now? Man, they made that clear when they had a big 14 page article on "console online plans." Seems that 13 of those pages were dedicated to ps2's plans and one half of a page was shared by nintendo and xbox, the other half was a sega exec. talking about online gaming. This magazine may have at one point been an all around magazine, but one year of basic ps2 exclusiveness means a hostile attitude towards the good consoles. In fact, I speculate that most of these all console magazines are ps2 magazines with some xbox and gcn thrown in to appeal to a broader audience. Also, of course nintendo would get preference over microsoft in a ps2 controlled game magazine since most of these people grew up playing nintendo and compared to ms, nintendo has been a doormat of a flop in the next-gens therefore ps2 peops wouldn't mind supporting it because they know it can't compete like xbox can.
