The 3DO dismantling has begun. Microsoft is the first to swoop in and grab some remains, announcing they have acquired the rights to High Heat Baseball for an undisclosed amount.
Yesterday was the big 3DO auction day in San Francisco. After filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, 3DO had told the court it would try to sell all of their assets to raise whatever capital they could.
High Heat has enjoyed success in the past, and many consider it to be a superior game to Microsofts own baseball game, Inside Pitch. Microsoft has not released any details of how they plan to incorporate the new franchise into the fold, or what the future holds for Inside Pitch.

What I would like to know is if they are going replace Inside Pitch with High Heat Baseball? I would like to see it happen. :)
