Climax's beauteous looking RPG is delayed 'til next year
11:46 Wouldn't you just know it? You muddle through the usual Summer drought of decent titles, chiefly by looking forward to the quality titles you'll be tucking into in a couple of months' time - and then they go and delay one of the classiest looking titles. Tchoh. Yep, Climax's Xbox RPG Sudeki, originally poised for a Christmas release, has now been put back 'til Spring 2004. Grrr.
Sudeki is an extremely glitzy looking Dungeons and Dragons-style extravaganza, except with action-based scrapping, complete with Max Payne/Matrix/Hong Kong style slow-mo battle scenes - which is fast becoming the new stealth.
Whatever, the Brit developer previously worked on the dead good Moto GP on the Xbox and Sudeki is clearly highly rated by Microsoft insiders, the game taking up a sizeable chunk of last year's X02 presentation.
Apparently the title has been delayed so that Climax can polish the game; fair enough we guess, though this delay does mean the RPG will be going head to head with Peter Molyneux's Fable next year (assuming Molyneux's madly ambitious title doesn't slip again)...

Author: jacaranda :: 2003-08-12 11:26:33 These delays are unfortunately becoming predictable. Let's hope Sudeki is not delayed further!
