News: Gamecube Feels The Heat in UK!
Posted: 2003-08-12 00:01:35
Tired of walking into forums and seeing Nintendo fans gawking at the low sales of XBOX in Japan. Well not that I condone payback, wait yes I do, but here's some firepower to throw back at em!

During a week of record breaking triple digit temperatures in the Uk the Gamecube dropped below 1,000 units for the week ending August 9'th. This is the Cubes lowest level since launch and is being attributed as much to a lack of software as it is the staggering heat wave! GC wasn't the only console hit hard; the PS2 dipped below 10,000 units and the XBOX dipped just under 4,000 units for the week; just going to show you that when the heat is on, everyone sweats!

Xbox has some major titles upcoming. Hopefully that will help stoke sales.

The headline is a lil missleading, the Xbox is still in 2nd and the PS2 is still doing twice as good. This isn't really good news since the Gamecube was never a serious threat to begin with
